About Us
About Us:
Founded in 2016, Wilstair began with a vision to transform warehouse inventory management through autonomous drone operations. In 2020, we achieved that vision by deploying a fleet of eight drones in a 1-million-plus-square-foot warehouse, simultaneously navigating the facility and scanning inventory on an automated schedule.
Building on those early innovations, we expanded our capabilities to support drone delivery operations across the United States and the Caribbean. Our work included deploying heavy-lift aircraft capable of carrying payloads of up to 15 pounds without direct pilot input.
In 2026, Wilstair operates its own test facility, expanding our ability to design, test, and integrate advanced unmanned systems for defense applications. Today, we help customers develop military-grade drones designed to operate in contested RF and GNSS environments, emphasizing U.S. manufactured components, cost-effective platforms, and streamlined production. Our engineering approach targets systems that can be assembled and produced in less than five hours.
We work alongside OEMs, U.S. component manufacturers, and industry partners to deliver innovative software, network infrastructure, and integrated unmanned systems tailored to mission-specific requirements.
Education and workforce development have been central to Wilstair since its founding. We partner with academic institutions to support STEM education, research, and capstone projects, helping students gain practical experience in engineering, autonomous systems, and emerging unmanned technologies.
Wilstair combines engineering expertise, real-world operational experience, and workforce development to help advance the next generation of unmanned systems.
Our Approach:
Helping customers design, build, modify, educate, integrate, manufacture, UxV robotic systems with quality, reliability, and speed in mind. White board designs are translated into system requirements, which then result in products that can be developed or manufactured at scale.
Our Contractors:
We work with a pool of highly qualified US engineering contractors. If you are an engineering major that resides in the US and want to be added to our engineering pool of contractors, please send us a message.
Our Leadership:
Will Stavanja - Owner
A Mechanical Aerospace Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in systems integration and testing leads Wilstair, LLC. Will is an officer for AIAA in North Carolina, and serves in various aerospace and STEM committees.
